DAP Chong Chieng Jen’s PA, Mordi Bimol told a press conference yesterday that MP for Mas Gading, Datuk Dr. Tiki Lafe had agreed with the Pakatan Rakyat that the government system is not working.
Holding a photo stated copy of the story of Tiki's reply to him on the Biawak road, Tiki had told Mordi not to accuse the Barisan Nasional (BN) elected representative of not doing anything about Jalan Biawak as the JKR has too many procedures and protocols that makes even BN elected representative frustrated and angry.
Mordi said by coming up with such statements, it showed that Tiki too is also against the government system as he being an elected representative in the Government failed to accomplish what was promised to the people in Pasir Hulu and Biawak.
Having gone to Jalan Biawak and taking photos of the deplorable roads early on, Mordi urged the elected representatives to do something about it. He said the 18 kilometer road was a project which started in August 2009 and to be completed in February 2011 but so far only 5 kilometer of road was completed.
The 13,000 villagers were suffering daily as during rainy season, the roads were too muddy for the smaller vehicles to pass and during hot seasons, they had to make do with dusty roads. Mordi said he does read newspapers and new media and on top of that, he went to the ground to hear the grouses of the people
Did, he, Tiki went to the ground and understand the people’s plight which affected them daily, a road that was supposed to be completed in 2010 but the project is now abandoned.
Tiki had also hit out at Mordi for writing letters and said tons of letters would not accomplish anything. Mordi said he wrote letters as he represent the voices of the people and it was not for Tiki to go and stifle and ridicule the voices of the people.
He also gave friendly advice to Mordi stating that "To see only is useless, Mordi... You don't know what we have done since years ago, before you even knew where this place is!". To this Mordi replied that Tiki should not look down on the youth as the younger generation are learning and looking (going to the ground) but is he, Tiki looking????
Tiki, when contacted laughed and replied cheekily: "Hehe... biarkan nya molah PC... Nya pun mauk tunjuk nya molah kerja bah... kita dah berpuluh tahun molah kerja sebelum nya timbul. Nanyak nya apa projek dah d mbaknya ke kpg Suba Bandar, kpg nya mpun?"
