Attacks on `Buku Jingga’ good for us — Anwar

KUCHING: Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was not in a sour mood over ‘Buku Jingga’ being constantly criticised by BN leaders, including the latest salvo by PBB deputy president Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Instead of taking a swipe at Abang Johari, Anwar ‘thanked’ him because he believed the incessant attack on ‘Buku Jingga’ would arouse the curiosity of the people to read the administration master plan crafted by Pakatan Rakyat (Pakatan).

“From time to time, leaders attack Buku Jingga, and I must thank them because this has encouraged people to read our proposals. You will only read Buku Jingga when (Prime Minister) Datuk Seri Najib (Tun Razak) attacks it, and yesterday (last Saturday) it was Abang Jo who attacked,” he told reporters here yesterday.

Last Saturday, Abang Johari, who is also Housing Minister, told those present at the launching of the Malaysia Ex-Policemen Association Sarawak branch that the master plan outlined in Bukit Jingga looked promising, but was unrealistic.

“The question is where to get the money to implement some of the proposals? It’s just their dream, and it will remain a dream. So, don’t believe in it,” said Abang Johari.
