SARATOK: For Datuk Dr Tiki Lafe to self declare that he is BN-friendly but contesting as an independent in Mas Gading against BN candidate Anthony Nogeh only goes to show the quality of the man.
Twisting the true spirit of BN does not make Dr Tiki a BN man and more so when he decided to go against the decision of BN’s top leadership, said SPDP president Tan Sri William Mawan when met here yesterday.
“If he (Dr Tiki) is a true blue BN man, like what he himself declared all this while, then why is he going against the BN? If he is for BN then he should be lending support to the BN candidate,” said Mawan, who is also BN national vice chairman. To Mawan, Dr Tiki was only creating confusion on the ground in his desperation to ensure that Nogeh loses the election, adding by his own doing, Dr Tiki was opposition-friendly.
“I have told people that it was not easy to manage this kind of people. They are saying that they are BN-friendly but in reality, they are not. Technically, they are not BN,” said Mawan when referring to Dr Tiki and his friends outside BN; namely Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie, Datuk Sylvester Entri Muran, Rosey Yunus and Paulus Palu Gumbang.
Apart from Nogeh and Dr Tiki, the other candidates contesting in Mas Gading are DAP’s Mordi Bimol and Patrick Anek Uren from STAR. - theborneopost
