SRI AMAN: Balai Ringin assemblyman Snowdan Lawan has been asked to state his stand over his father’s decision to stand against BN-PRS candidate Masir Kujat in this May 5 parliamentary election.
Snowdan’s father Donald Lawan will standing as an independent against Masir, SWP Wilfred landong and PKR Nicholas Mujah.
Masir said: “Snowdan is one of the BN members. Therefore, I just want to know what is his stand when his father Donald Lawan contests in Sri Aman parliamentary seat.
“If he still supports me, who is a BN man, he therefore should work hard for the BN to ensure a BN victory in Sri Aman,” he told the media after nomination of GE13 election candidates here on Saturday.
Masir said the BN and PRS should be taking action against Snowdan if he supports his father.
“I do not have the power to order Snowdan to quit from the party but if he starts to campaign for his father, the state BN and PRS will have the power to do it (take action),” he stressed.
Balai Ringin PRS Youth chief TR Alex Libau said he hoped Snowdan would not side his father in this polls but remain loyal to the BN.-theborneopost
