DAP will still be able to field candidates as usual on nomination day, regardless of the Registrar of Societies (ROS) decision to suspend the party's central committee.
This was confirmed by Election Commission chairperson Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusoff.

The ROS had informed the DAP that it does not recognise its new line up of party office bearers elected late last year due to a technical glitch in the tabulation of votes.
In view of this, the ROS had ordered for the central committee to be frozen until investigations are complete.
