KUCHING: The three-year internal crisis facing Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) will soon be a thing of the past once Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem finally sits down to deal with it.
He told the media after meeting Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday that he had the formula to solve the crisis, which must be done before the next state election.
“We have the formula which I am not going to disclose at the moment and we are working on it,” he said.
Adenan said this when asked whether he would be able to solve the problem in SUPP like what he did to SPDP. The new chief minister has recorded a remarkable achievement of sorts when he succeeded in reconciling SPDP with G5 members minus former Mas Gading MP Datuk Dr Tiki Lafe.
Adenan said although the problems besetting SUPP and SPDP had some similarities they could not be solved using the same method. - theborneopost
